Corkscrew

One of my first designs from my early years in college. Simple Idea. The corkscrew is spun onto the top of the bottle. The same force placed on the handles also clamps the bottle with retro style rubber sprung handles.

The overall style resulted in a chubby cheeked rabbit shape. A budding example of form following function i designed the ears to match incorporating hand groves into the curves in the ears..

Kahier

Kahier is the phonetic translation of the Irish word for chair or 'cathaoir'.

Kahier is made entirely out of environ biocomposite, a recycled pulpwood. This is now cardboard however, the material is very lightweight and has a tensile strength of 150% that of oak. The bench is placed at a kneeling angle for its numerous posture and digestive benefits. The front strip is covered with an elegant fold of stainless steel..

Armani casa wine cooler

Armani Fortezza or 'fortress' seemed the operative word to describe this wine cooler. This project was an expansion of the Armani Casa range. The wine cooler holds 20 bottles of wine at a constant 14 degrees celcius. The product is supported by a central strut which extends from the base to glass surface. Each of the coolers' four corners expand and retract along silent rails and slides.

After reaching a set distance each of the corners drops down to a 45 degree angle presenting the collection.

Wine collectors are proud of their collections Armani followers are usually extroverted, style concious and proud. Part of this project involved the deliberate display of a majority of, or a entirety of an owner's wine collection in the process of removing a single bottle.
